Rug Show at the Jail House!

September 12th & 13th

11 am to 4 pm

 That’s right, rug show at the historic jail house in Canton, MS. Come join us and rock the jail house!

This is the first time over 100 rugs will be on display all hand hooked by talented fiber artists from Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee and Texas!

Do not miss this opportunity--the rug show will be open to the general public each day from 11 am to 4 pm plus see what these talented ladies are working on now!

Where better to host a rug show?? The historic jail house that has been restored (and yes,  it is air conditioned) one block from “The Square” in Canton, MS!

Kris Miller Three Day Workshop

February 11, 12, 13, 2009


P is for Primitive is pleased to announce that Primitive Rug Hooker, Kris Miller of Spruce Ridge Studios is coming to The P!!!


Kris is designing a special rug just for this class and will be teach several unique techniques with the pattern!  Come join us around the table and chase away the winter blues!


Cost for 3 day class, including lunch each day and snacks: $225.00

Eric Sandberg will be at P is for Primitive August 17th -19th 2009

 

Yes, we know it is a year away but it is still exciting and  we wanted to share the news!


He is a certified McGown teacher with over ten years of rug hooking experience, Eric Sandberg is equally comfortable with fine or wide cuts and prefers to be known as a color perfectionist who will help you see things as they really are.

Eric as written articles for Rug Hooking Magazine and his work has been featured in Celebrations IX and X. He is also the Director of Caraway Rug School, held in Asheboro, North Carolina every June.

Eric has a great class prepared to teach us about Wide Cut Orientals, Antique Scrolls  or any project that you consider to be a color challenge.

This class welcomes any pattern, any size cut. When choosing a pattern, keep in mind that even those designed to be hooked in a 3-cut may be hooked wider. Eric can adjust the pattern to accommodate the size of the strip.  He will color plan your rug using your wools and adding some of his.  If you need help with a pattern, please contact Lisanne. 

 

The cost for the 3 Day Workshop which includes lunch and snacks each day is $175 plus materials.  If you are interested, please register early as you are the first know.  Class will be filled on a first come first serve basis and is limited to 15.
